School Staff
The Roseville Community School is operated by a team of dedicated individuals possessing a passion to create the best possible environment in which their children can learn and grow. To accomplish this goal, the school is operated as a California non-profit corporation under the guidance of a Board of Directors composed of parents.

Mary Jo Fleming joined RCS in 1993. Her guidance and dedication made it possible for the Roseville Community School to evolve and maintain a strong commitment to children's growth and learning. For Mary Jo teaching is a calling. She once heard “a calling” described as “where your heart’s desire meets the community’s needs.” Her teaching reflects this deep sense of commitment and creates a classroom filled with excitement and student confidence.
Mary Jo teaches the Middle Program and acts as the Academic Advisor to the Board

Molly Carter joined our team of teachers in 2009. She is a graduate of U.C. Davis. Her educational philosophy states: "Education builds a connection between the world and the student. Through education, students are introduced to the strength and power of community and collaboration."

Laurel Doyle has her Masters Degree in Child Development and Elementary Education. She believes strongly in the need to create a learning community that is supportive, equitable and facilitates the growth of the whole child. Laurel is teaches the younger-middle program.

Krista Weagraff is a part time co-teacher in the K-1 class. She loves teaching and has been a staff member at Roseville Community Preschool since 2001. Krista believes that the child is the curriculum; she focuses her attention on where the child is right now. Each child’s level of development is taken into consideration when developing curriculum and the daily routine. Krista is particularly fluent in art, science, language, music, play environment, gardening and brain development.

Kristin Myrick continues as our upper program educator. Kristin strives to create a supportive, safe and welcoming environment for her students. She enjoys challenging and supporting students with high expectations in order to help them reach their fullest potential.

Jonna Vance continues in the role of Administrative Director. She has been working respectfully alongside teachers, students and families here at RCS for the many years. Jonna brings a strong belief in the RCS philosophy and a vested interest in the long term success of the school. Jonna will assist the board of directors in maintaining the business end of the school, including the maintenance of school records, work schedules for faculty and parents, sitting on the board of directors and being a central and daily figure for communications to channel through.
