Thank you for your interest in the Roseville Community School! We offer a unique school environment that fosters the intellectual, social, emotional, and physical growth of our students. With an active and dedicated community of professional teachers and caring parents to provide guidance and support, the children are encouraged to make full use of their minds, senses, and feelings. This partnership between school and parents begins with learning first-hand about the school....
Visit the school and observe the environment and interactions among students, teachers, and parents. While it is usually more beneficial for the parents to observe the school activities alone, you may bring the child for whom you are seeking enrollment if you wish. We do not have facilities to watch younger siblings during your visit so please make arrangements for their care. Visits should be scheduled in advance by contacting the Business Office (please refer to the Contact page to assure your request is handled promptly).
Application to Roseville Community School is open to children of all races, religions, and ethnic or national origins. It does not discriminate in its process of admission, educational policies and other school-administered programs. We encourage a rich ethnic diversity in student population. Our classes are multi-age; we seek children who will learn well in an environment that encourages dynamic curiousity, fosters an enjoyment of learning, requires responsibility and independence, and provides the skills to think and reason creatively. RCS reserves the right to determine whether the program is a good fit for the family and the RCS program.
Please complete and submit an application form along with a $40.00 non-refundable, one-time application fee. The date your application form and fee are physically received in the RCS Business Office is considered your application date. You will receive notification from the Administrative Director confirming the receipt of your application.

RCS is a collaborative community. Community is built through the involvement of various school duties and activities. Fundraising and special events require parent participation, not only to keep tuition and fees low, but also to build the bonds between members of the community. The Administrative Director will meet with you to discuss your specific individual financial and time obligations. This is also a good time for you to communicate your goals and priorities in the program. In addition, at least one adult of each family must attend the mandatory one-day Orientation Program, held approximately one week before the start of fall classes.
The structure and environment of Roseville Community School is very different from most educational institutions. By meeting with the Administrative Director, you will have the opportunity to hear first-hand the philosophy, methodology, expectations, and commitments (both time and financial) that are part of being an active member of the school community. You will be able to have all your questions addressed and should come away with a realistic understanding of what RCS can and cannot offer your child.
Introductory School Visit
After we receive your application, our Administrative Director will contact you to schedule a visit at the school. The Director will meet and get to know your child personally. The benefit and purpose of this visit is to gauge your child’s developmental level, learn about their interests and assess what program might be a good fit for the student. Admission to the program would be based on their developmental age and not upon their chronological age.
Notification & Acceptance
Upon completion of the school visit parents will be notified regarding acceptance into the school. Classes are limited in size and priority is given to siblings of current students and then all others in order of their application date. It is critical that the child is developmentally ready to attend school; this includes the ability to separate from family for the school day, to communicate verbally and to attend to a task for a short period of time.
After notification of acceptance, a tuition contract is required to be signed and returned by May 1st. The first month's tuition is due by July 1st.
If you are called and notified of an opening but decline to schedule an introductory school visit or enroll your child, you will forfeit the original application date and any sibling priority for that academic year. A new application must be submitted to restart the application process for the next term. (Application fees are one-time charges and will not be assessed on multiple applications for the same child.)
